About Us 'Grace Space' is a regular, informal get-together for evangelical Christian home educators in and around the County Antrim area who use the A.C.E. curriculum. We believe that, spiritually and academically, our children deserve an infinitely better education than they will receive in the state system. Our children deserve only the very best - namely, a Christian education. As such, it is our conviction that the A.C.E. curriculum is by far the best way of delivering Christian education. The A.C.E. curriculum is administered locally by TEACH (The European Academy for Christian Homeschooling). ACE and TEACH both permit and encourage home educating families who use the A.C.E. curriculum to meet together on an informal basis. These informal get-togethers take place all over the world and are very successful. It was for this reason that a number of families came together in 2010 to set up Grace Space. Facilities, Activities & Trips Grace Space has access to some very excellent, spacious facilities where we can hold our regular get-togethers. During these get-togethers, we lay on lots of fun, educational activities for the children - these include stories, jam-making, artwork, baking, crafts, models, magnet work, talks, games, creationist exhibitions, cake decorating, nature walks and peat cutting. We have also enjoyed trips to Carrickfergus Castle, Whitehead Beach, Hazelbank Park, Carrickfergus Titanic Exhibition, local markets and the FLAME Gasworks Museum. As well as being enjoyable for the children, Grace Space get-togethers are an excellent opportunity for parents to be encouraged, develop friendships and enjoy fellowship with one another. Online 'Members-Only Facility' Members of Grace Space have access to a Members-Only Facility on this website where they can read our noticeboard, look at our newsletters and articles, listen to audio and video resources, discover ideas for trips, participate in curriculum swaps, order free resources and request items from our lending library. Due to our use of online forms located within the Members-Only Facility, orders for free resources and requests for library items can be processed simply and quickly. Curriculum Swaps & Free Resources We try to facilitate curriculum swaps between our members (this can help parents save money in course fees). In addition, Grace Space have well over one hundred helpful resources (including CDs and DVDs) available free of charge to our members. As a group, we are always seeking to discover new ways in which Grace Space can be improved so that it will continue to be a blessing to its members. |
Newsletter & Lending Library Grace Space produces its own free newsletter for members. We also have an enormous, members-only, lending library that contains books, booklets, leaflets, curriculum, charts, magazines, CEF resources, ABEKA flashcard resources, catalogues, games, videos, CDs, MP3s, DVDs, audio tapes, children's ministry resources, CD-ROMs, software and evangelistic material. Members can use resources from this library free of charge. Our Success & Confidence Grace Space are thankful to God that our get-together (which has been in existence for well over a year now) is strong, dynamic and successful. None of this success is the result of any human effort. The Word of God says very clearly in Revelation 3:8: "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name". God's work, with God's blessing upon those who are truly His children, will always come to strength and victory - all glory be to Him, and Him alone. Our Evangelical Christian Statement of Faith Whilst evangelical Christians may differ from each other on various points of doctrine, there are certain fundamentals of the faith that we must all agree on in order to be considered 'truly evangelical'. To that end, and in order to ensure clarity and stop any confusion from developing, Grace Space have drawn up a simple statement of faith that everyone who comes along to our informal group agrees with. Our evangelical statement of faith is as follows: "There is only one way to Heaven. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. Good works, baptism, the Lord's Supper, religious activities, etc play no part whatsoever in salvation. The Bible is the perfect, inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative and preserved Word of God."
